Cooking in the Classroom

Easy Play Dough Recipe

For one batch:

2 c. flour

1 cup salt

2 tsp. cream of tartar

2 c. water

4 Tablespoons vegetable oil

 

Mix dry ingredients thoroughly, place in heavy saucepan.  Combine liquid ingredients, then whisk into the dry ingredients.  Cook and stir over medium heat until dough is too stiff to stir.  Turn out of pan and knead until smooth.  Store in ziplock bag or air tight container.

Optional ingredients:  Food coloring, unsweetened Kool-aid, glitter.
